Joseph P. Weakland, Ph.D.

Technical communicator and corporate futurist. Atlanta.

Joseph Weakland

I make complex technology clear and persuasive for the people who build, buy, fund and use it. I have done this work for more than ten years. I am a trained technical communicator, and for nearly nine years I led documentation for security and compliance SaaS products at Kaseya. Since my doctoral research I have written about emerging technologies as a critical futurist. I do that work now as a corporate futurist at Honeywell, where I write thought leadership on physical AI.

Thought leadership

An essay on physical AI, and published research since 2015 on futures, science fiction and how emerging technologies change writing.

Documentation

User guides and video tutorials for security, compliance and transit software. At Kaseya I led documentation for four SaaS products: six live knowledge bases and more than 50 published PDFs, with over 9,000 views a month.

Marketing

Plain language for technical buyers: a launch data sheet, a product brochure and the technical case for a new mapping platform.
